DECEMBER

County Annual General Meeting

Arrange January Executive Meeting with new Committee

 DECEMBER/JANUARY  

Do County Competition Drawer with President, Competition Secretary and Assistant Competition Secretary.

 JANUARY  

At January Executive arrange all Meetings for the year: Selection Executive, Council, Tour.  

Book coach for first round Johns Trophy.

Book a Green if Middlesex is the Challenger at a neutral County. Find out cost of meals and how many (meal costs shared between both Counties). Invite one Officer from the host club to sit at table for the meal (Middx pay for meal).

Challenger to provide an Umpire (preferably neutral).  

FEBRUARY    

Arrange County Luncheon .

Invite EWBA President and Escort, MCBA President and Lady to County Luncheon .

MCWBA President and Husband, Toastmaster and Life Members paid for by the County.

 Send application form for Internationals and Junior Internationals to EWBA.

 Selection meeting for Johns Trial. Notify players.

 MARCH  

Order Pennants for Bannerette games and County Tour (order for more than one year).  

Check stoks of Bowls stickers for both County Games and Tours .  

APRIL  

Attend EWBA Council Meeting at Leamington with Treasurer. (Separate Secretaries and Treasurers meetings precede Council meeting).

 Order Badge for Past President and Collar Name for President from Toye, Kenning & Spencer. (details in file)  

Start to work on next year’s calendar, liaise with Match Secretary re County friendly matches, note all EWBA dates, Johns Trophy and Walker Cup dates (we try not to clash with International dates) when all match dates are agreed with other Counties, give calendar to Competition Secretary to enable her to work out Competition Dates.

 MAY

Attend EWBA President’s Day with our President, buy present between us (approx £10.00)

County Tour – Ask Vice President where her tour will be and ask Tour Adviser to deal with.  

For our President’s Day (? July) (game on the day organised by Comp Sec)

Give President list of Delegates (if no Delegate invite Secretary unless male as they are not invited)

Past Presidents, life Members must be invited and President of Associations if desired.

Treasurer will give President a cheque for £250.00 to help with her expenses.

Everybody attending pays £2.00.

President chooses her present, which comes from the £3.00.

President’s Benevolent Day is dealt with by the Benevolent Secretary.

 JUNE

 Mainly attending Matches including John’s and Walker Cup (see separate list of duties for matches)

When we win the Johns and Walker games arrange the next round and coach if necessary.

 JULY

 Attend EWBA Council Meeting at Leamington with Treasurer.  

At County Competition Semi-finals note:

1st Winners off the green (“A” to Leamington )

2nd Winners off the green (“B” to Leamington )

 Send names of County Finalists to EWBA – (forms supplied by EWBA)  

Nominations and Propositions to be with EWBA by 1st August for AGM

 AUGUST

 National Finals at Leamington .  

Over 55’s information to be sent to EWBA (inter-County rounds)  

All Annual forms to be distributed at Council Meeting (Affiliation fees, Competition Entries, Year Book Records, Club Singles records etc).

These to be completed and returned by 1st November  

Remind Delegates that Nominations and Propositions  for the County AGM need to be in by 30th September  

SEPTEMBER  

Nominations and Propositions for County AGM need to be in by 30th September.

Luncheon Meeting to finalise arrangements.

Order Menus.

By presents for EWBA President (approx £10.00)

Remind Match Secretary to make provisional bookings for the coaches needed for away games next year.

Give the Treasurer expenses for the year (October to September)  

OCTOBER

  County Luncheon 1st Friday in October.

Discuss Propositions and Nominations at the Council Meeting.

Attend EWBA Council Meeting at Leamington , with Treasurer.

 NOVEMBER

 Attend EWBA Dinner and Annual General Meeting

 Fill in all Annual forms for the EWBA.

Send in all monies due, Affiliation Fees, Competition Fees, Johns Trophy and Walker Cup entries. I.W.B.B. Levy etc.

Liaise with the Treasurer who will have information re number of members affiliating, number of Competition Entries and number of year books to order. This information to be sent in by 1st December.

Alterations to our records for EWBA Yearbook also need to be checked and returned following  receipt from the EWBA Yearbook Secretary.
