JOB DESCRIPTION - ASSISTANT COMPETITION SECRETARY    

NOVEMBER  

All competition forms should have been received.  

DECEMBER/JANUARY  

After the Annual General Meeting and having received all the Competition Entry Forms (nothing to be accepted after the closing date), put them into alphabetical order i.e. Divisions 3 and 4.

The total number of entries in each of the following:

Singles, Two Woods, Unbadged Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours, Champion of Champions, Middlesex Patrons, E.W.B.A. Patrons, Double Rink and Top Club must agree with the Hon. Treasurer’s entries.  

Send a list of members in each Division who are Middlesex Patrons, to the Year Book Secretary.

Forward a list of members who are E.W.B.A. Patrons, to the Hon. Secretary.  

Forward entries, for the Top Club Competition, to the Hon. Competition Secretary.  

Send entries for the Double Rink Competition to the Hon. Competition Secretary, Clubs required.  

Advise Competition Secretary of Champion of Champions entries from your Divisions.  

For the Draw to take place, each player participating in the Singles, Unbadged Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours in both Divisions, are given a number commencing in each case with one.

The Draw usually takes place during the first two weeks of January with 2 other members of the Executive.  

JANUARY/FEBRUARY  

Send a list, for each Division showing Clubs, members Names Addresses and Telephone Numbers, to the Year Book Secretary, who will send proofs for checking and returning to her.  

For the Two Woods Competition 4 venues are allocated, two in Division 3 and 2 in Division 4.  The number of entries in each Division to be as far as possible equal and preference be given to Clubs nearest to the relative venues.  

MAY to SEPTEMBER  

The Assistant Hon. Competition Secretary will officiate at one Two Woods day venue together with if possible a member from the Executive.  This applies to the other Divisions and venues.

The format of play should be provided and sent to the persons officiating together with a list of Players Names, Draw Sheets and Score Cards.  Numbered Discs will be required at each venue along with books of Raffle Tickets.  

Patrons Day to be run by the Hon. Assistant Competition Secretary together with if possible, another member of the Executive.

The format of the Competition will be provided by the Hon. Competition Secretary.

List of players names from your Divisions together with Score Cards, Numbered Discs, Brown Envelopes and Raffle Tickets are required.  

All Competition and Double Rink results are to be taken.  

Attend all Quarter, Semi-Finals and Finals also the Double Rink Semi-Finals and Final.  

Keep a record of numbers of Unbadged points players have accrued.  

Advise Hon. Competition Secretary of the names of players due for County Badges and first and second games.  

OCTOBER  

Assist Competition Secretary with Trophy Table at the Annual Luncheon, also assist at the Presentation.  

Keep a record of mileage and expenses.
